LICENSED ACCESS​

The Bar Standards Board approves certain persons, organisations and/or their members or employees to instruct barristers directly through the Licensed Access Scheme.

By virtue of the Licensed Access Recognition Regulations, members of the following organisations are deemed to be an authorised licensed access client:

The Architects Registration Council of the UK
The Architects and Surveyors Institute
Association of Consultant Architects
The Royal Institute of British Architects
The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
The Royal Town Planning Institute Valuers

Members of chambers can be instructed by the construction industry to provide independent legal advice, a second opinion on a legal matter, drafting, robust representation in adjudication, arbitration, mediation and construction litigation.
